Exploring Lisbon

Last year I spent a week in Lisbon, and I must admit it was love at first site. I traveled there with my sister and we stayed in the most amazing AirBnB located near Principe Real and Barrio Alto. The location was perfect and the rooftop terrace overlooking the city and water view was breathtaking. What I loved most about the city was the colors, buildings and tile. I loved that the city felt alive and loved being able to have a great mix of beachtime and exploring the city. Here are some my favorite recommendations from the trip:

Cascais:  Cascais is a short trip from Lisbon to the beach. We often spent mornings there and then explored Lisbon in the afternoon.

Gelato Davvero: I begged my sister to have gelato with me every day! It was cheap and so good! After trying many locations, this one was by far was my favorite. Luckily it was right next to the metro on the way back from Cascais, which meant we usually enjoyed some ice cream when we arrived back to Lisbon.

Time Out Market - I loved Time Out Market because it was all in one! Food, drinks, shopping and open all the time. Usually we would pass through it on our way to the beach. It’s great especially if you are with a lot of people and not sure what restaurant to go to, this place offers tons of options.

Manteigaria Pâtisserie - Every morning we spent in Lisbon required that I had my pasteis de nata and coffee from this place (I’ll admit sometimes two!) . It was incredible, delicious and a must visit!

Pistola y Corazon Taqueria - Okay I know what your thinking Mexican food in Portgual ! but honestly it was some of the best Mexican food I have EVER tried and that’s saying a lot! I still have cravings from this place and wish they had a restaurant in Paris.

A Vida Portuguesa -  There are several locations of this store, including one in Time Out Market, I was on the hunt for nice ceramic coasters for my apartment and finally found them here. They also had beautiful textiles, soap and jewelry!
